VALLEJO, Calif. –
For the first time since the 2015-16season — minimum two games played; women's basketball won the first league game of the 2019-20 season — Cal Maritime holds a winning record in Cal Pac play. The team enters this weekend's series finale at Stanton seeking its third overall victory in a row, one game behind Simpson and its undefeated 3-0 conference record with an opportunity to sweep the season series against Stanton.

Earlier this year, the Keelhaulers defeated Stanton in a designated non-conference game at the HIU Holiday Classic, hosted by Hope International, and in last Saturday's league matchup inside PEAC Main Gym. With the return game taking place Saturday night at Cypress College (9200 Valley View Street, Cypress, CA, 90630) Cal Maritime will possess a three-game win streak for the second time in as many seasons with its desired result.

Before the team defeated Pacific Union, and the Elks twice last January, the 2015-16 season marked the last time the Keelhaulers won three straight when that squad won five in a row that February to end the season with six wins in their final eight played.

This upcoming Southern California read trip originally included a game at Westcliff before facing Stanton. However, due to the number of injuries sustained by members of the Warriors' women's basketball team, the school chose to forfeit the rest of the season by not meeting the minimum number of healthy players to participate in competition.

Once it passes 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Cal Maritime will officially earn a 2-0 forfeit victory against the Warriors.
