VALLEJO, Calif. –
Cal Maritime will experience déjà vu this weekend in Redding because it will play games against Pacific Union and Simpson for the second time this season on Friday and Saturday, respectively.

Video streams and live stats are available for both games, hosted by Simpson; please note the tipoff times for Friday and Saturday's matchups since they are non-traditional start times.

Pacific Union has only played two games this year, its inaugural one of the season took place home against the Keelhaulers in a game the Pioneers were held to 27 points for the entire game — the fifth-lowest total scored by an opponent in program history.

The highlight of the night took place throughout the entire third period when the Keelhaulers' defense forced PUC to shoot 1-for-20 overall and finish with only three points scored throughout that 10-minute session. That total is the lowest scored in any quarter, by any opponent, in the program's recorded history in a road game.

Pacific Union's other game took place during Ottawa (AZ)'s Northern California road trip; the Pioneers suffered the same fate as the Keelhaulers when they faced the Spirit and lost that game.

In Cal Maritime's home opener, it engaged in a spirited back-and-forth battle with Simpson until the Red Hawks pulled away late to collect a win inside PEAC Main Gym. For Cal Maritime, this designated non-conference return matchup — both teams compete in the California Pacific Conference, like Pacific Union, but will not compete in an official league game until January, 2026 — provides an opportunity to avenge that result.

The Red Hawks enter the weekend on a two-game slide after dropping games against Oregon Tech, at Southern Oregon, and will face another Oregon-based school, Warner Pacific, before hosting the Keelhaulers nearly 24 hours later.

Games at Simpson this weekend complete the inaugural block of read games for Cal Maritime this season, four straight on the road, because it will host Northwest University, on November 22, in the first event following the team's trip to Redding.
