VALLEJO, Calif. — Two women's basketball home games will take place for Cal Maritime in the month of November; they bookend four contests that will take place on the road. The first of these two home matchups will wrap-up a brief two-game homestand that started with last Friday's game vs. Simpson when Ottawa (AZ) visits campus for Tuesday's 5:30 p.m. event.

The other game taking place inside PEAC Main Gym is scheduled against Cascade Collegiate Conference member Northwest University on the 22nd.

Between those home dates, women's basketball will visit Life Pacific (11/8), an exhibition against Division-II member Dominican (11/11) and a pair of games in Redding, hosted by Simpson, against Pacific Union (11/14) and the Red Hawks (11/15).

Even though the Keelhaulers are coming off a loss, that result only took place because of one quarter where shots simply failed to fall through the hoop. Cal Maritime outscored Simpson in the third and fourth quarters; that defensive effort came after the team held Pacific Union to only 27 points for the entire game one night before hosting Simpson.

Even after a brief sample size, Aysia Santos and Aliviyah McMurray are making a name for themselves as two of the top players in the Cal Pac Conference. Santos, a senior forward, is averaging 18.5 points per game on 52 percent shooting from the floor. McMurray, a junior transfer forward, averaged 17 ppg, holds a team-high 63.2 field goal percentage and is pulling down three rebounds per game.

Ottawa (AZ)'s visit to Vallejo is part of a season-opening six-game road swing that starts on Halloween at the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy Tip-Off Classic. After playing Arkansas Baptist on Friday and Oklahoma City on Saturday, the Spirit will travel to Northern California and have just under a day to prep for their game against the Keelhaulers.

This is OUAZ's second trip to campus after visiting last season, it won the inaugural head-to-head meeting, 73-57.
