SANTA CRUZ, Calid. – Lawrence Long hit half of his 15 shots from the floor to finish with a team-high 18 points, Luka Popovic and Emerson Santos each added 11 in Cal Maritime's final non-conference game of the season, one that ended in UC Santa Cruz' favor by an 81-68 score in Saturday night's series finale from KP Arena.
Popovic also loed the Keelhaulers with eight rebounds in a game that served as a final tune-up for the last week of the season, one that includes a pair of key Cal Pac matchups that will determine seeding at the league's year-end playoffs.
Following Thursday's game at Pacific Union, men's basketball will end the regular season at home against Simpson. Cal Maritime will enter the week in fourth place, one loss behind the Red Hawks who sit atop the league's standings.
