VALLEJO, Calif. – Cal Maritime women's soccer fans are encouraged to secure their seats at Bodnar Field by 10:30 a.m. to help the program honor its two graduating seniors, Amanda Carvalho and Leeza Bremermann, in a pregame ceremony before Sunday's 11 a.m. Cal Pac Conference matchup against Stanton.

Due to a scheduling quirk — conference officials set its soccer schedules a year in advance — the Keelhaulers will host their Senior Day on October 3 since it is the last weekend home game remaining on the team's 2025 slate.

Following this weekend's home games, a block of action that begins with Friday's 4:30 p.m. meeting with Westcliff, the team's next four games will take place on the road. Cal Maritime's final home game is set for Halloween at 1 p.m. against Pacific Union, a date and time that kicks-off the final weekend of the regular season with everyone else playing respective season finales the following afternoon.

Due to Sabbath, which prevents the Pioneers from conducting extracurricular activities from sunset on Friday until Saturday's sunset, the league moved up these rivals' season finale to the previous day.

Cal Maritime's unique 2025 schedule, which includes a home-heavy start to the year followed by a weeks-long block of road contests, is the reason why the program's Senior Day is taking place earlier than normal compared to previous years.

Carvalho, a graduate student who joined the program in 2021, earned All-California Pacific Conference and Cal Pac Champion of Character honors following the conclusion of the 2024 season. Named NAIA Scholar-Athlete during the 2022 season, the Benicia, California native was selected team captain throughout her college career and earned the Team MVP Award for the 2024-25 academic year.

After earning her bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in international business and logistics in the spring of 2024, she will receive her master's degree in transportation and engineering management in 2026.

Bremermann, who hails from San Diego, first joined the women's soccer program in 2022 before taking time off to concentrate on her academics. She chose to return to the field for her senior season before she graduates in the fall with a degree in marine transportation.
