Personal: Majoring in marine transportation... Hails from Ketchikan, Alaska... Graduated from Ketchikan High School in 2022... He was the Southeast Alaska Region Champion during his junior and senior years... Also played basketball and baseball throughout his high school career... Chose Cal Maritime because, "although my dad retired from the Alaska Marine Highway System shortly after I was born, I was always surrounded by the maritime industry. While I never joined him on the job, growing up around him and his old work friends made me love that professional field. Every story I heard from them increasingly made me want to pursue a life at sea, that’s exactly what I did by coming to Cal Maritime as a MT cadet." ... Favorite experience as a cadet-athlete took place when his team headed to Southern California to participate in a college meet; the Santa Monica fun run plus the drive to and from Southern California was constantly packed with funny moment with his friends... Favorite element of his Cal Maritime experience took place during his freshman summer cruise because it was an incredible way to experience new cultures and see beautiful places, such as Apia, Samoa, for someone who traveled little outside of the United States... Hobbies include camping, flying drones and anything that takes him to the water... Post-Cal Maritime plans include returning home to work on the Alaska Marine Highway System... Personal hero is his mom because she is an incredible role model who represents what it means to live a life as a leader who is kind and intelligent; she always provided the support he needed to grow... Roots for the Seattle Mariners; his favorite athletes are J.P. Crawford and Julio Rodriguez.
