VALLEJO, Calif. – Jose Diaz, Nico De Simas and Cade Weatherbie each recorded a shot in Friday's Cal Pac Conference matchup versus Westcliff and Fabian Garcia ended the night with six saves for the Keelhaulers in the first of two league contests scheduled throughout the weekend at Bodnar Field.
Even though the Warriors struck first one minute into the game, fans were treated to a highly-competitive matchup from start to finish, but that early goal, combined with a penalty kick, led to a deficit Cal Maritime could not erase in a game that fell the Warriors' way by a 4-0 score.
Men's soccer's season-opening seven-game homestand continues Sunday at 1:30 p.m. against Stanton, this is the first-ever game between these programs as Cal Pac foes.
