Justiz Wilson earns Offensive Player of the Week honors
VALLEJO, Calif. - Seventeen of Justiz Wilson's career-high 28 points were scored in the second half and seven of his eight field goals in last weekend's home game vs. Westcliff were from three, both career highs as well, which led to the Cal Pac Conference naming him its Offensive Player of the Week.
Wilson tied the all-time single-game program record for the most three-point field goals made; two of those threes were scored within 90 seconds, turning a two-possession lead into a comfortable cushion for Cal Maritime as it pulled away to defeat the Warriors and climb to third place in the conference standings.
Combined with a pair of free throws, the Vallejo native was responsible for eight points during a late 11-2 scoring run that led to an 85-68 blowout victory for Cal Maritime.
The Keelhaulers will head to UC Santa Cruz on Saturday for their final non-conference game of the season, tipoff inside KP Arena is set for 6 p.m.
