VALLEJO, Calif. –
Following a home-heavy start of the month, Cal Maritime will head to Southern California for a pair of Cal Pac Conference games, starting Thursday night at Westcliff. Two days later, men's hoops will face Stanton for the second time in as many weekends looking to avenge last Saturday's loss and secure a season split.

Westcliff will visit PEAC Main Gym next Saturday in this year's return game and series finale.

As everyone approached the midpoint of the conference schedule, Stanton, Westcliff and Cal Maritime sit third-fifth with the Elks holding a half-game lead  over the other two.

This is the last true road trip of the year for the Keelhaulers since all their remaining Cal Pac game are local. Following their February 7 home game against Westcliff, the team will head to Pacific Union on February 19 before hosting Simpson in February 21 in a Senior Day season finale.

With the Cal Pac Men's Basketball Championship taking place inside PEAC Main Gym at the end of February, the Keelhaulers will experience a true home court, and local advantage.

Westcliff enters Thursday's matchup on a three-game slide after falling to Simpson, Northern New Mexico and Nelson University. However, the Warriors won the last three home games against the Keelhaulers and the last five overall.

This is the first time that Stanton hosted Cal Maritime in an official conference game since this is the Elks' inaugural year as a member of the Cal Pac Conference. After winning both of last year's head-to-head game, Stanton secured its first win of the all-time series last weekend by withstanding Cal Maritime's late second-half comeback and left PEAC Main Gym with a five-point win.
