Keelhaulers battle Bobcats in 2024 season opener

As action progressed, the Keelhaulers rebounded from a challenging start that saw the visiting Bobcats score six unanswered in the opening period, found their poise and provided a fierce battle for the rest of the game as UC Merced left Vallejo with a 17-3 victory in each team's season opener.

Cate Andersson recorded eight saves throughout her CSUM debut.

Cal Maritime will return to action on February 17 when it hosts the first Collegiate Water Polo Tournament of the season. Throughout this two-day event, women's water polo is slated to face UC Davis, UC Santa Cruz, San Francisco and Saint Mary's.
