VALLEJO, Calif. – Cal Maritime will head to Redding, California, for its lone game of the week — a Cal Pac Conference clash against the Simpson Red Hawks Kickoff at California Soccer Park is set for Thursday morning at 10 a.m.

This is the first of three true road games coming up for the Keelhaulers unless unforeseen circumstances force last-minute adjustments, as was the case last Sunday when Pacific Union was forced to move its home games against Cal Maritime to Bodnar Field because its home turf was deemed unsafe and unsuitable for competition.

Now at the midpoint of the season, a victory would pay huge dividends for the Keelhaulers because they are only one game behind Pacific Union for the fourth, and final spot at this year's Cal Pac Women's Soccer Championship, hosted by Westcliff during the first week of November.

With only one home game remaining, a Halloween afternoon matchup against PUC, women's soccer faces a tough challenge with the next three conference matchups taking place on the road. However, with one result, the Keelhaulers can catapult themselves back into playoff contention and play the role of potential spoilers in the process.
