Sailing secures seventh at PCCSC North Designate
VALLEJO, Calif. – Twenty crews from the Pacific Coast Collegiate Sailing Conference visited the St. Francis Yacht Club in San Francisco to battle for the league's annual spring North Designate championship. Even though Cal Maritime finished second in the second race of the seventh round, one of four top-four race finishes that took place throughout the weekend, the Keelhaulers finished seventh overall, maintaining their place on the overall leaderboard following Saturday — the first of two days of competition.
After finishing second in the inaugural race of the weekend, Stanford advanced to first place following the conclusion of the first round — two races took place each round featuring a school's A and B teams — and held onto the lead for the rest of the regatta.
Following a week off, the Keelhaulers will return to competition April 4 in Redwood City, California, at the PCCSC Team Race Championship — the penultimate regatta on the team's 2025-26 schedule.
