Busy month of October end with seventh at Top-9 Invite
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – A busy portion of sailing's schedule that saw the program compete in four dinghy events in as many weeks concluded Sunday afternoon with a seventh-place result in Redwood City at the Top-9 Fall Invite.
Cal Maritime did not send a crew in the other regatta taking place at the same location, the PCCSC Women's Fall Championship.
In the Top-9 event, Cal Maritime place in the top three in one of the 28 races that took place and struggled to sail consistently throughout the weekend.
However, if the Keelhaulers continue to compete like it did throughout the month of October, the program will not mind one-off team results like this one throughout the 2025-26 season.
Dingy student-athletes will enjoy a break since they will not return to competition until November 7-8 at the West Coast Championship in San Diego. The program's offshore student-athletes will take center stage next weekend at the Kennedy Cup, hosted by Navy in Annapolis, Maryland.
