CSUM captures ninth against an elite field in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO – Cal Maritime Men's Cross Country traveled west on I-80 to take part in the San Francisco State Invitational. The meet took place at Speedway Meadow in Golden Gate Park. 

Krossley Kirkpatrick led the Keelhaulers with a 29:42.9 time and an 82nd place finish. Noah Harder finished 89th with a time of 30:27.6. Andrew Scannell finished with a time of 30:35.3 and a 92nd place finish. Patrick Smith finished 93rd with a time of 30:35.5. Michael Lapinski finished with a time of 30:52.0 on the 8K course and a 94th place finish. Max Hilton rounded out the Keelhaulers' contingent with a time of 38:28.7.

Tanner Gerhart of Stanislaus State University won the individual competition. Stanislaus State won the team competition while the Keelhaulers finished ninth. 

The Keelhaulers will travel to Sunnyvale next Saturday to take part in the Bronco Invitational.
