Young, Mejias and Diaz shine at Last Chance Invitational

Final Results

VALLEJO, Calif. – Freshman Hunter Young recorded the best time for Cal Maritime in both events he competed in Saturday's Last Chance Invitational, hosted by Yuba College at John Orognen Stadium in Marysville, California, Isaac Mejias turned in a pair of solid performances among a deep field in each of his races and Jose Diaz represented the Keelhaulers in the 1500m and crossed the line in 4:41.71.

Young and Mejias both competed in the 100m and 200m events; Young finished 22nd (11.75) and 11th (23.62), respectively, with the latter placing 35th (12.65) and 26th (25.98).

The program's next meet is TBD since head coach Imhotet Amen-Ra is working with local coaches to officially set everything since local events will take place during Cal Maritime's Commencement weekend.

GoKeelhaulers.com will announce information regarding the next competition involving the Keelhaulers, once confirmed by Amen-Ra and meet officials.
