VALLEJO, Calif. –
Cal Maritime will head to Southern California for its final regatta of the season and square off against Pacific Coast Collegiate Sailing Conference foes at the Mark Healy Open Fleet Race Championship, hosted by USC.

In addition to the Keelhaulers, Arizona State, Cal, Cal Poly, Cal State Channel Islands, Hawaii, Oregon, San Diego State, Santa Clara, UC Irvine, UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara, UC Santa Cruz, UCLA, USC, Washington and Western Washington will visit the U.S. Sailing Center in Long Beach, California, and battle defending champion Stanford for this year's regatta championship.

The open dinghy championship is a two-division rotational event with one division at a time competing on water, only one co-ed team is permitted per institution.

Teams will sail provided CFJs, first warning is set for 10 a.m. each day with the final race of the weekend beginning no later than 3 p.m. unless additional races still need to take place due to the number of participants in this year's championship. If this is the case, racing will continue until sunset.

This event will use a low-point scoring system and serve as the PCCSC's qualifier for the Open Fleet Race National Championship, set for May 19-22 in St. Petersburg and hosted by South Florida.
