Bio

Chauncey Orr enters his third year as an assistant coach with Cal Maritime after playing professionally for the Bulleen Boomers in Melbourne, Australia for two years. During his tenure in Melbourne, Orr led the Big Victorian League in scoring, and coached the Boomers' youth club team where he strengthened the development of players who hailed throughout Victoria.

Before he turned pro, Orr played at Hawai'i Pacific University under current Keelhauler head coach Tim Bross during the 2015-2016 season. While at Hawai'i Pacific, Orr led the Sharks to Pacific West regular-season and tournament championships in 2017 — a year that saw Hawai'i Pacific win 29 of 32 games season and advance to the Division II West Region semifinals. That was the same season Orr earned All-America and all-conference accolades.

Before transferring to Hawai'i Pacific, Orr attended Bowling Green where he was a member of the men's basketball program. The Ohio native earned his degree in individualized studies with a focus in human development from BGSU.
